Race spec plates, built to the USA BMX plate guidelines. Custom number plate decals printed to the background color codes listed in the USA BMX rulebook, so your plate is ready for sign-ups instead of getting questioned at the gate.

Every plate prints with one solid, uninterrupted background color that covers the entire plate and touches all sides — no stripes, no fades, no second color behind the numbers. That is what the rulebook recommends for custom plates. Your name, number and sponsor logos sit on top.

Recommended background colors — each one matches a class color code published in the USA BMX rulebook:

• Grey — National Age Group — C43 M35 Y35 K1
• Black — National — C0 M0 Y0 K100
• Red — ROC — C0 M100 Y100 K0
• Green — State, Intermediate/Novice — C79 M16 Y89 K2
• Blue — Expert/Girls Expert/Cruiser — C93 M77 Y2 K0

Numbers print BLACK on white and gold plates, and WHITE on grey, black, red, green and blue — the combination that stays readable from the gate.

How it works:

1. Pick your plate style, size and color above
2. In the personalization box, list your rider name and number — e.g. "Williams 123, Box Senior, Red (ROC), no logos"
3. Adding sponsor logos? Send them to us in a message after purchase
4. Want a mock-up before we print? Message us after purchase — otherwise we'll go straight from your order details

About the rules: USA BMX requires handlebar number plates to carry legible numbers at least 3″ tall, unobstructed and non-overlapping. Every plate is laid out with that in mind. USA BMX also recommends that custom plate designs be approved before production — you can email rules@usabmx.com if you'd like yours signed off first. Officially issued USA BMX plates (District, Gold Cup, National Age Group, National, ROC and State) are already approved by the Competition Committee and are exempt from the custom-plate color rule.

Racing a National, Gold Cup Final or the ROC? Side plates are required at those events. Message us and we'll match a set to your number plate.
